Come experience the beauty of autumn in the Allegheny Mountains! Crisp mornings warm into golden afternoons with clear, deep blue skies. The hills become a changing harmony of colors--- first a few scarlet leaves show among the green, then with increasing brilliance comes a variety of oranges, reds and yellows that mellow into the darker russets and oranges of late fall.
As the days cool, guests at Creekside enjoy the warm comfort of wood fires in the evenings and the pleasure of relaxing in a hot tub under a clear autumn sky filled with stars. On weekend mornings we will often be serving such fall favorites as pumpkin spice bread, warm baked oatmeal and dishes with the delicious apples from our orchard.
This is a beautiful time of year for a hike---either on one of Creekside’s three trails, or to Hanging Rock at the top of Peter’s Mountain where you can watch migrating hawks fly below. Hanging Rock is an entrance to the Allegheny Trail which joins the Appalachian Trail in our county. Our guests love our backpack picnics for two, which come complete with everything you need for a gourmet picnic in the scenic spot of your choice.
Relax further with a rejuvenating therapy at the spa. If you have achy muscles you will want to try the Body Melt Back Therapy with Arnica oil and Arnica gel. If your skin needs some extra care after a summer outdoors, try our Moisture Drench Facial with the healing power of Calendula. And a pumpkin facial is a great way to relax and give yourself a little boost into autumn! Come refresh yourself with some quiet time in the country, a massage at the spa and an autumn hike along Indian Creek or the High Meadow Trail. Hope to see you soon!
